We Scare Nightmares is a band from Central Scotland consisting of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Andrew Burton, Kenny Miller and Keith Scott. Formed as a recording project each member brings in a song to the sessions; the fundamental arrangement and rhythm section of the song is then jammed out, agreed then recorded before moving on to the next writers song. Vocal overdubs and additional orchestration is added later however for the most part each song is arranged and recorded within a very short space of time in order to challenge both the writing process and the musicianship of the members. Through these sessions the multi-faced album ‘Chase or Attack’ has been accidently created, which features songs about subjects we care enough to write about sober, so that people can connect to them when they’re drunk. Drawing on a range of influences from Elliot Smith to Prince and Queens of the Stone Age; the songs will have you feeling like a million bucks getting ready on Saturday night, but they’ll also be there when you’re crying into your cornflakes on Sunday morning.
